OUR PURPOSE IS TO PROVIDE the residents of Spokane and the Inland Northwest with affordable skiing and snowboarding. We feature extensive night lighting, a large ski school with nationally certified instructors, state of the art grooming, and a guest oriented environment.

It is the sincere objective of Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park to provide a work environment that is conducive to both personal and professional growth. We hope that you share this purpose and objective.

Smooth and efficient operation of the mountain means that there are many different types of jobs at Mt. Spokane. During the winter season, there are food service positions in the cafeterias and bars. These include wait staff, cooks, bartenders, cashiers, etc. There are skier service positions. These include ticket window sales people, skier service counter attendants, day care personnel and season pass specialists. Our retail jobs include selling positions at Lodge #2. Our rental shop has positions ranging from rental technicians to cashiers. Of course, there are both ski school instructors as well as snowboard instructors. Outside jobs also include chair lift operators, parking lot attendants and drivers for our state of the art snow grooming machines.

NOVEMBER 3, 2007 At lodge 2--Starting at 8:00am OPENINGS IN ALL DEPT. WE HOPE TO OPEN NOVEMBER 23rd SEASON RUNS TO MARCH 30th 2008 Mt. Operations: Hours depend on Snow Conditions, Current openings: Lift Operators;Ski Check Attendant(s), Tubing Hill Attendant,Parking Lot Attendant Mt Operations is accountable for operating and maintaining the outside services of our ski resort. These jobs are worked in extreme weather conditions in a winter Mountain environment. The employees in this department must be physically able to shovel snow,lift up to 60lbs. repetitively Other duties as assigned Those who drive any Mt. Spokane Ski and Snowboard Park vehicles or equipment must have current valid driver's license and proof of current automobile insurance. Copy of driving record must also be provided. Mt. Spokane reserves the right to transfer employee(s) to another department if needed for assuring exceptional guest service. CASHIERS These are inside positions. Those who are hired for these positions will be cross trained to work in 1-3 or more revenue centers and supporting roles. Employees who work in these departments must be able to handle extremely busy times selling high volume of goods and services to many guests quickly and efficiently. Accurate cash handling skills,aptitude for mathematics and ability to remain calm under pressure. Other assignments may include working in day care, tickets, food & beverage. Other duties assigned may be food prep,cleaning,other as needed. Mt. Spokane reserves the right to transfer employee to another department if needed for assuring exceptional guest service. FOOD & BEVERAGE These are inside positions. Locations include Lodge 1 or 2, Vista House, and Foggy Bottom Lounge. Employees who work in Food & Beverage must be able to handle extremely busy times selling high volume of goods and services to many guests quickly and efficiently. Must have the ability to remain calm under pressure and be motivated to discern, seek out and take care of tasks as they need to be done in an efficient and mature manner. All positions in Food & Beverage will be expected to carry out any and all duties as assigned, whether this may be food prep,cashier,cleaning,or other as assigned. MT.
