Expansion Final Public Hearing this Wednesday
Public testimony will be heard - we
need your support!
As you may know,
we are nearing the end of a long process for approval of expanding the ski
area. All of your letters and emails have been
instrumental in getting us to this point, for which we are very thankful.
Now, we are asking for your show of support at the final Public Hearing before
the State Park Commission's consideration for final action on this project.
The WA State Parks
and Recreation Commission will hold a special public meeting on Wednesday, May
18, 7:00pm - 9:00pm, where they will take testimony on the
Mount Spokane ski area expansion proposal and land classification. The
Commission will take testimony from everyone who would like to speak. The
meeting will take place at Spokane Falls Community College, 3410 W. Fort George
Wright Drive, Student Center Sub-lounge A, B, & C, also known as rooms 101
and 102. The Commission will adjourn at 9:00pm; however they will leave
the hearing open and continue testimony on Thursday morning.
The regular
Commission meeting will continue on May 19th at Center Place in the Spokane
Valley, from 9:00am - 5:00pm. Public testimony on the Mt.
Spokane agenda item will begin at 9:15am and end at 10:15am, at which time the
Commission will consider the item for action.
Please note that all comments the Commission has received since February 16th
until May 19th will be considered by the Commission prior to their final
action.
Thank you for your
support throughout this entire process!
