Mt. Spokane Ski & Snowboard Park is very proud to announce official Opening Day for the 2012/2013 winter season this Saturday, December 8th!

Significant snowfall, consisting of 6” at the base area and more than 10” at the Chair 3 summit fell yesterday, solidifying Mt. Spokane’s base snowpack and setting up the mountain for a great season ahead.  Early season conditions do exist on the lower third of the ski area.

Normal hours of operation will be in effect on Saturday.  Lifts 2, 3, & 5 will open at 9am, and continue operation through 4pm.  Ticket windows open at 8:30am.

Special discounted pricing will be in effect for Opening Day.  Tickets will be discounted to just $30 for an Adult lift ticket, $20 for a Youth lift ticket (ages 7-17).

Saturday’s weather may turn out to be spectacular, with fresh snow on the ground and mostly sun in the forecast.  The forecast through the weekend and following week is showing continued cold temperatures and snow accumulation.

Mt. Spokane is proud to share this season’s improvements with the public!  The brand-new 1200 square foot Addition to the Main Lodge features new seating for 100 people, a new wraparound deck, roll-up garage doors, and 4 new bigscreen TVs.

The long-range forecast is looking very promising!  The once-forecasted El Nino has changed to a solid Neutral pattern in the Pacific Northwest, which for skiers & riders means healthy winter storms.

Stay tuned to www.mtspokane.com, and Mt. Spokane’s social media channels on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, & YouTube for the most up-to-date information on Opening Day.
