Mt. Spokane’s legendary Kan Jam Freestyle Festival has played host to a Rail Jam, Slopestyle, and Big Air contests the first weekend in February for the past 10 years running. Each year record numbers of competitors and spectators have turned out to watch the freestyle action similar to X-Games competitions. This season the Kan Jam is evolving to take place each Saturday in February (now known on the mountain as “Freestyle February”), and adding a new event – a “Natural Slopestyle” taking place in the brand-new Gnarwood Forest natural terrain park. The event is also now a points series; competitors accumulate points throughout all four events, and overall skier and snowboarder champion will be crowned at the end.See Mt. Spokane's Terrain Parks page for more information on Kan Jam!
