2024 Mt. Spokane Pond Skim: Canceled due to low snow.

With the warm-up earlier this week, we can’t muster up enough snow in the base area to create a fabulous pond, so sadly, our Pond Skim must take a raincheck. But don't fret! We're still open Thursday-Saturday from 9am to 4pm, and on Sunday from 9am to 1pm. And here's the cherry on top— everyone skis free on Sunday!

Join us as we send off the season in style with our annual Pond Skim!

How it works

First, wear the most ridiculous outfit you can imagine. No matter what, resist all speed checks on the run-in. Don’t lean too far backward or forward and try to glide across the pond. If you fall, try to spray the crowd as you go, and take your skis off before you try to climb out of the water. If you fall in the water, you’re done! Those who can skim across, will move on to the next round with a closer start point. We’ll keep going until there is a winner! Ultimately, this is just for fame and glory but we will have some fun prizes to award winners.

Spectators welcome and encouraged to dress up as well!
